How to Make Chicken Cordon Bleu in the Crockpot

If you love chicken cordon bleu as much I do, you will love how easy this is to throw into the crockpot!

  1. Prep: Spray the bowl of a 4 or 6-quart slow cooker with pan spray.
  2. Whisk: Whisk together the milk, cream of chicken soup, Dijon, and lemon juice. Spread about 1 cup of the mixture in the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Add Meat and Cheese: Add the chicken to the crockpot, then top with the ham and shredded cheese.
  4. Add Stuffing Mix: Top with the rest of the soup mixture. Cover with the stuffing mix and drizzle with butter.
  5. Cook: Cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.

Tips for Slow Cooker Cordon Bleu

  • Can I use chicken thighs instead? Yes! Boneless, skinless chicken thighs will work as a flavorful alternative to chicken breasts! You can use all breasts, all thighs, or a mixture of the two as long as you’ve got 3 pounds of chicken.
  • Cut it into cubes: You can keep the chicken breasts whole, or you can cut it into 1-inch cubes for easier serving.
  • Fresh or bottled lemon juice? I like to try to use fresh lemon juice anytime that I can. Fresh lemons always have better flavor and will add the perfect amount of zing to the cordon bleu sauce.
  • Crockpot Size: If you use a larger crockpot, (7-8 quarts) your cooking time may be a bit shorter than the recipe calls for.
  • Can I make it gluten-free? Yes! You can easily make this a gluten-free recipe by swapping out 2 ingredients! You can swap out the stuffing mix for your favorite gluten-free stuffing mix and also swap out the cream of chicken soup for a can gluten free cream of chicken soup!

Storing Leftovers

  • In the Refrigerator: Store your slow cooker chicken cordon bleu leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Reheat in 30-second increments in the microwave.
  • Make it Ahead of Time: You may prepare the items in the crockpot the night before except for the stuffing and butter. Cover with plastic wrap or foil and place in the refrigerator. In the morning, add on the stuffing, drizzle it with butter and cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.

Ingredients You’ll Need

I love this recipe for Crockpot Salisbury Steak because it uses so many simple sauces and seasonings (even though it tastes like a million bucks!) I’m sure you’ll have a lot of these ingredients on hand already. Check out the recipe card for exact measurements.

  • Ground Beef: The heart of the dish, lean ground beef is ideal. You could also use ground turkey for an even leaner version of this Salisbury Steak recipe!
  • Bread Crumbs: Bulk up and add texture to the meatballs.
  • Ketchup: Sweetens and moistens the meatball mixture.
  • Worcestershire Sauce: Deepens flavor with all that savory goodness!
  • Mustard Powder: Adds a kick of flavor to the meat patties.
  • Egg: Binds everything together.
  • Salt & Pepper: Season to your preference!
  • Butter: For browning the patties in before slow cooking.
  • Mushrooms: Add earthy flavor and a wonderful meaty texture.
  • Large Onion: Adds sweetness and texture to the gravy.
  • Beef Broth: The base of the flavorful gravy. You could also use mushroom or vegetable broth if you prefer.
  • Cornstarch: So the gravy can thicken to perfection.
  • Water: Thins the cornstarch slurry for smooth mixing.

Extras:

  • Fresh Chopped Parsley (optional): A vibrant garnish that also adds a boost of flavor to the Crockpot Salisbury Steak.
  • Mashed Potatoes (for serving): The perfect accompaniment to soak up the delicious gravy. If you’re looking for something easy, try these Instant Pot mashed potatoes!

How to Make Salisbury Steaks in a Crockpot

  1. Add Vegetables to Pot: Place the sliced mushrooms & onions in the bottom of the crock pot.
  2. Beef Mixture: In a medium-sized mixing bowl add the ground beef, bread crumbs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, ground mustard, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix with your hands until combined. Then shape into 4 oval patties.
  3. Sear: Heat the butter in a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and then cook for 3 minutes on each side. They don’t need to be cooked all the way through, just browned.
  4. Layer: Layer the patties over the mushrooms and onions so they infuse the meat with flavor.
  5. Gravy Mixture: In a medium bowl, add the beef broth, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce and then whisk to combine. Pour over the beef patties.
  6. Slow Cook: Cook on high for 3 hours, or low for 5 hours.
  7. Thicken Gravy: Remove the patties from the crockpot and then set aside. In a small bowl add the cornstarch and water creating a slurry. Then stir into the broth and let cook a few minutes until thickened. Add the beef patties back to the crock pot and gently toss to coat the patties in the sauce.

What to Serve With Salisbury Steak

Every hearty dish needs a tasty side to go with it! Try some of these:

  • Mashed Potatoes: Mashed potatoes are a must with Salisbury steak! Try my dad’s mashed potatoes or these easy instant pot potatoes.
  • Noodles: If you don’t like mashed potatoes, serve this crockpot Salisbury steak over a bed of noodles. We prefer egg noodles but feel free to use any noodles you like!

Storing Leftovers

Crockpot Salisbury steak makes perfect leftovers for a quick and easy lunch. It’s so easy to reheat and enjoy later!

  • In the Refrigerator: Store for 2-3 days in an airtight container.
  • To Reheat: I always like to reheat leftover Salisbury steaks in a skillet over medium heat. If you need to add moisture back to the patties or gravy, add a splash of beef broth. You can also reheat your steaks in the microwave with 1-minute cooking intervals.

Slow Cooker Chicken Fajita Soup

Creamy, quick, hearty and oh so tasty! This chicken fajita soup is such a wonderful recipe to make. I love how easily it comes together in the Crockpot. And it’s so packed with flavor!  Perfect to enjoy while the days are still chilly!

There just isn’t too much that can go wrong with this super simple meal. It’s a foolproof dinner! You’ll love it for its ease (seriously, a breeze to whip up!) and it’s hearty, delicious flavor. Need more tasty Tex-Mex soups in your life? Try taco soup or cowboy hamburger soup next!

Chicken Fajita Soup Ingredient List

So many simple ingredients- just throw them all in a pot and let them simmer until extra flavorful and hearty! Exact measurements are in the recipe card at the end of the post.

  • Chicken: Use boneless, skinless chicken breasts for easy shredding and a lean protein base.
  • Cream of Chicken Soup: Adds creamy texture and savory chicken flavor. Canned or homemade, whatever works for you!
  • Salsa: Choose your favorite flavor and heat level – mild, medium, or hot! It infuses the soup with Mexican spices and rich tomato flavor.
  • Frozen Corn: Adds sweetness and also gives the chicken fajita soup wonderful texture. Frozen corn thaws perfectly during cooking.
  • Black Beans: Provide fiber, protein, and earthy flavor. Rinse and drain so you avoid having excess liquid in the soup.
  • Chicken Broth: Creates the liquid base and simmers all the ingredients together.
  • Cumin & Cilantro: These warming spices bring out the Mexican flair of the dish. Cumin adds smokiness, while cilantro offers a fresh, citrusy touch.
  • Cheddar Cheese: Melted cheese makes the soup richer and creamier.
  • Toppings (Optional): Customize your slow cooker chicken fajita soup with your favorites! Some toppings I like to add are diced tomatoes, lime slices, cilantro, tortilla strips, and red onion & green pepper for extra flavor and texture.

Making Slow Cooker Fajita Soup

This chicken fajita soup is so good, and I love that you can just ‘set it and forget it!’ There’s nothing better than coming home to a bowl of this hearty, flavorful soup.

  1. Add Chicken: Spray your slow cooker with cooking spray. Then add your chicken to the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Broth Mixture: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, salsa, corn, black beans, chicken broth, cumin, and cilantro. Then pour over the top of the chicken.
  3. Slow Cook: Cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  4. Shred Chicken, Melt Cheese: Remove the chicken and shred using two forks. Place the shredded chicken back into the slow cooker and then add shredded cheese. Continue cooking until cheese has melted, about 15 minutes.
  5. Add Toppings and Serve: Top with tortilla strips, diced tomato, onion, cilantro, green pepper and limes (or any of your favorite toppings) and then enjoy warm!

Delicious Variations

The best part about making fajita soup from scratch- you get to customize it to your heart’s content!

  • Chicken: You can use skinless, boneless chicken thighs instead of breasts.
  • Vegetarian: Omit the chicken altogether for a vegetarian version. You can also add extra beans for a protein boost.
  • Veggies: Sauté chopped peppers and onions to beef up your veggie content.
  • Spices: Use chili powder or a fajita seasoning to add more spice and flavor to your chicken fajita soup!
  • Tomatoes: You can also add a can of diced tomatoes, or fire-roasted tomatoes for extra flavor. An addition that’s so simple, you don’t even have to drain it!

Fajita Soup Toppings

Fajitas wouldn’t be the same without toppings, and this soup is no different! Pick your favorites so you have the perfect soup every time.

  • Shredded Cheese
  • Chopped Tomatoes
  • Olives
  • Sliced Avocados
  • Chopped Green Onions
  • Fresh Cilantro
  • Tortilla Strips or Chips
  • Sour Cream
  • Your Favorite Hot Sauce (I love Cholula!)

Storing Leftovers

This delicious soup stores beautifully in the fridge. Simply transfer the cooled soup to an airtight container and it’ll stay good for 3-4 days.

When you’re ready to enjoy it again, reheating is a breeze. Gently warm the soup in a pot over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching. Alternatively, you can also reheat individual portions in the microwave, stopping to stir halfway through.

These Crockpot Green Beans are perfectly tender, packed with flavor and so easy to cook in your slow cooker. All you need is 5 minutes of prep time to have a side dish that pairs well with almost any meal!

Cooking your side dish recipes in the crockpot is so convenient! It’s easy, hands-off and leaves the oven open for other dishes you might be preparing. For other crockpot sides, try these slow cooker cheesy ranch potatoes, amazing slow cooker macaroni and cheese or creamy crockpot mashed potatoes.

Crockpot Green Beans Recipe

A good side dish like Crockpot Green Beans can be the best part of the meal, especially when they’re this tasty! This recipe combines tender green beans with diced onion, garlic, parmesan cheese and plenty of bacon for an incredible complement to dinner! Whether you’re serving them alongside a simple weeknight meal or a holiday spread, they’re going to be a new favorite!

I just love how these turn out perfectly tender and packed with flavor. You simply can’t imagine how amazing these taste! A delicious side for any meal, and clean up is a breeze. These are especially great for cooking around the holidays because they don’t take up any precious oven space. I know your family will love them just as much as mine does!

Ingredients Needed

Not only is this crockpot green beans recipe so simple to make but the list of ingredients is short and sweet! See the recipe card below for a list of exact ingredient measurements.

  • Green Beans: You’ll need 2 pounds fresh green beans for this recipe.
  • Onion and Garlic: For wonderful aromatic savory flavor.
  • Parmesan Cheese: Green beans and grated parmesan cheese are a match made in heaven.
  • Chicken Broth: You’ll need two cups of chicken broth to ensure the green beans don’t dry out while cooking, and also it will add extra flavor.
  • Bacon: Adding in about 6 slices of cooked, crisp and crumbled bacon to cook with the green beans will really take these to the next level.
  • Salt & Pepper: To bring out all of the delicious flavors.

How to Make Crockpot Green Beans

These only take a couple of minutes to prep, and then the slow cooker does all of the work. If you want them to look uniform, cut the ends off of them before cooking. Here’s how everything comes together:

  1. Combine & Cook: Add the onions, garlic, parmesan, bacon, chicken broth, and green beans to a 4-quart slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper as desired. Place the lid on top and cook on high for 2-3 hours, until the green beans are tender.
  2. Serve: You may remove some of the broth before serving and add more crumbled bacon and parmesan, if desired.
Adding green beans to a Crockpot along with Parmesan cheese, bacon, diced onions, and garlic.

Tips and Variations

These green beans are so easy to serve up! These tips will make them turn out perfectly!

  • Add Heat: Spice things up by adding ¼-½ teaspoon of red pepper flakes.
  • Add Lemon: For a bright zing, add a tablespoon of lemon zest and 1-2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice.
  • Don’t overcook the beans! A lot of recipes out there recommend cooking the green beans for 4-6 hours on low (or high!!) and that’s just way too much time unless you want mushy green beans. Stick to 2-3 hours of cooking on high or 4 hours on low. If you prefer your beans more al dente, check them after 1-1 ½ hours and see if they’re where you’d like them.
  • Smaller Beans: If you like to serve your beans in smaller pieces, cut them into 1 ½-2 inch pieces before adding them to the crockpot. They may cook faster in smaller pieces, so check on them after 1 ½ hours.

Make Ahead and Storing Leftovers

You can have these all prepped and ready to cook! Leftovers are also great! They store well and are easy to reheat.

  • Make Ahead: You may prepare the beans in the crockpot insert up to 24 hours in advance. Cover with plastic wrap or foil and store in the refrigerator until you’re ready to cook them. When ready, simply place the crockpot insert back in the crockpot, place the lid on, and cook as directed.
  • In the Refrigerator: Store the cooked beans in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
  • To reheat: You can reheat these in your air fryer! Cook them at 350 degrees for about 4-5 minutes or until they are warmed through. Alternatively, you can pop them in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.

Tender slow cooker kalua pulled pork is salty, smokey melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Enjoy authentic Hawaiian luau pork flavor at home with this super simple 3 ingredient masterpiece.

You don’t need a luau to enjoy Hawaiian cuisine and this moist kalua pulled pork. Serve with a side of Hawaiian sweet rolls, Hawaiian macaroni salad, and this incredible grilled pineapple for a complete island experience!

Slow Cooker Kalua Pulled Pork

Slow cooker kalua pulled pork is the easier version of authentic kalua pork. Traditionally, kalua pork is cooked in the ground, but this slow cooker is a great modern day method! With only 3 ingredients this is one of the easiest meals to make! It cooks low and slow to achieve the most tender results. You won’t believe it when you taste this explosion of salty and smokey flavor. And it’s a perfect recipe to make for a crowd!

Also known as kalua pig or Luau pork, kalua pulled pork is a staple at Hawaiian luaus. They carry on the tradition of cooking a whole pig in an underground oven filled with hot stones. The pig is generously salted and wrapped in banana leaves then lowered into the ground to smoke all day. This slow cooker method also requires all day to cook. You’ll want to plan ahead because to get that divine tenderness you’ll want the pork to cook for at least 16 hours. For more delicate juicy pork recipes try my carnitas, this Mississippi pork, or my sweet pulled pork!

Kalua Pulled Pork Ingredients

It doesn’t get any easier than a 3 ingredient recipe. Especially when the result is as incredible as this kalua pulled pork. Although there are only 3 ingredients, using the right ingredients will ensure that authentic kalua pork flavor.

  • Pork Butt Roast: This cut of meat is also called a pork shoulder roast. You can get one with the bone or without.
  • Course Hawaiian Salt: Hawaiian salt is loaded with minerals and is traditionally important in this recipe. Look for this in your specialty stores like Cost Plus World Market, or Trader Joe’s. You can also order it from Amazon. Use any kind of course salt like Kosher or Himalayan salt if you can’t find Hawaiian salt.
  • Liquid Smoke: Available at any grocery store near the BBQ sauces. It adds the signature smokey flavor to the pork so don’t skip this ingredient!

Kalua Pulled Pork Recipe

This kalua pork recipe is perfect for feeding a crowd. Super simple to make, but you definitely need to plan ahead! Prepare the pork the night before and allow it to cook all night. It’s SO worth the wait!

  1. Place Pork in Slow Cooker: Spray the inside of the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Place the pork in the slow cooker.
  2. Season With Salt/Add Liquid Smoke: Sprinkle the salt on top of the pork and generously rub the salt on the pork. Pour the liquid smoke on top of the salted pork.
  3. Cook: Cook on low for 16-20 hours. Yes, really that long! Turn the roast halfway through.
  4. Shred: Once fully cooked, remove the roast and shred it with two forks. Remove any fat pieces as you shred the pork and discard them. Add the shredded pork back to the slow cooker. The pork will absorb the juices and flavor from the bottom of the slow cooker!
  5. Enjoy: Enjoy the pulled pork over rice or served in a bun!

Tips For the BEST Kalua Pulled Pork

This is a really hard recipe to mess up but here are some tips to make sure it stands out above the rest. It’s so incrediby easy and it turns out perfect every time.

  • Pork:  Pay attention to the size of your roast. If you get a roast larger than 6 pounds (8-12 pounds) you’ll want to increase both the salt and the liquid smoke. Too little can leave your pork tasteless. The amazing flavor comes from the salt and liquid smoke. For a larger roast increase the salt and liquid smoke by 1-2 teaspoons.
  • Rinse and Trim: Rinse and pat your roast dry to ensure the flavor “sticks” to it. Trim your roast of large chunks of fat, and place fat side up in the slow cooker, the fat will baste the rest of the roast as it cooks.
  • Pierce: Poke the roast with a fork all over before rubbing in the salt and liquid smoke to increase the flavor inside and out.
  • Liquid Smoke: It is recommended by some Islanders to use hickory liquid smoke for an authentic flavor, but mesquite is just as good. It’s mostly personal preference.
  • Time:  I know I’ve said it before, but truly the longer you can cook it the better. This will work if you start in the morning and let it cook all day. It may not be quite as tender, but will still taste amazing.

Storage and Ideas for Leftovers

Kalua pulled pork makes great leftovers! Use in your favorite Mexican dish such as quesadillas, tacos, burritos, or on top of nachos. You can also use leftovers to make pulled pork sandwiches or sliders. The possibilities are endless!

  • In the Refrigerator: Bring leftovers to room temperature and store in an airtight container with the juices. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • In the Freezer: Freeze leftovers in a freezer safe container or freezer Ziploc bag. Seal tightly and place in the freezer for up to 3 months.
  • To Reheat: Thaw frozen leftovers in the fridge over night. Reheat leftovers in the microwave or on the stovetop in its liquid. Make sure to reheat with the liquid because the pork might taste dry if you leave it out.

If you’re wondering what to add to the dinner lineup this week, this creamy slow cooker chicken and noodles is the answer! Everything gets cooked in the crockpot (even the noodles!) and the sauce is a tasty mix of cream of chicken soup, garlic, and Italian seasonings!

Slow Cooker Creamy Chicken and Noodles

You guys. This chicken and noodles recipe is the perfect weeknight dinner. You throw everything in the Crockpot in the morning and then come home to an amazing hearty meal. It’s an all-in-one meal that even your pickiest eaters will be raving about.

The sauce for this Crockpot chicken and noodles is to die for. And the best part is, it’s just a simple mixture of cream of chicken soup, butter, and a few tasty seasonings. It’s thick, rich, and coats the egg noodles perfectly! My youngest said this was the ‘best dinner ever’ and that means a lot coming from her! She’s my toughest critic!

Don’t Worry!

This recipe is Picky Eater Approved!

Ingredient List

One of the best things about this chicken and noodles recipe is that you’ll probably already have most of the ingredients to make it! Simply combine them all and let your slow cooker work its magic.

  • Boneless Chicken Breasts: The main protein in the dish. They get so juicy and tender! You can also use chicken thighs if you prefer.
  • Chicken Broth: Adjusts the consistency of the sauce without dulling the flavor.
  • Butter: Adds richness to the dish.
  • Salt and Pepper: Trusty seasonings, add to taste.
  • Spices and Seasonings: Garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
  • Cream of Chicken Soup: The creamy base of the sauce.
  • Dry Egg Noodles: You can use any kind of pasta here, but I love the stroganoff feel that egg noodles add.

Crockpot Chicken and Noodles Recipe

So easy and so delicious! This slow cooker chicken and noodles recipe is one you’ll want to have on repeat. The flavor of the sauce and tender shredded chicken is just too good.

  1. Add Chicken: Place the chicken breasts into the bottom of the crock pot. Then add the slices of butter on top of the chicken.
  2. Sauce Mixture: In a large bowl, add the broth, cream of chicken soup, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasonings. Whisk to combine then pour over the chicken and butter.
  3. Slow Cook: Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or high for 2-4 hours.
  4. Shred Chicken: Shred the chicken using two forks then add the shredded chicken and uncooked noodles to the crock pot.
  5. Add Noodles: Stir the noodles into the crock pot then cover and continue cooking for 20-40 minutes or until the noodles are cooked, stirring occasionally. Add a small amount of broth or water if more liquid is needed to cover the noodles.
  6. Serve: Season to taste and then serve chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes.
4-photo collage of the chicken breasts being added to a crockpot along with the sauce ingredients and pasta.

Tips and Variations

  • Make it Cheesy: Stir in shredded parmesan or mozzarella cheese during the last few minutes of cooking for a creamy, cheesy touch.
  • Cook Low and Slow: You can cook your chicken and noodles on high heat if you’re short on time, but lower heat creates more tender chicken and prevents overcooked noodles.
  • Don’t Lift the Lid: Avoid lifting the lid too often, as it releases heat and extends cooking time.
  • Serve With: The recipe suggests serving your chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes, but you could also serve it over white rice, brown rice, or just enjoy it as-is! Complete your meal with rolls or breadsticks for dipping in that tasty sauce.

Storing Leftover Chicken and Noodles

If you have leftovers, lucky you! They heat up beautifully throughout the week. Transfer your chicken and noodles to an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Reheat in the microwave, stirring in between one minute intervals, or over the stove on medium heat.

Ingredients You Will Need

This crack chicken chili needs to be made this week, so make sure you have all the ingredients ready to go! It’s a great recipe for using up leftover shredded chicken if you have it. You can find exact measurements for each ingredient in the recipe card below.

  • Chicken: Use boneless skinless chicken breasts for this recipe.
  • Chicken Broth: Chicken broth is the base of this soup.
  • Pinto Beans: Drained and rinsed.
  • Black Beans: Drained and rinsed.
  • Corn: Canned corn, drained and rinsed.
  • Fire-Roasted Tomatoes: Canned fire-roasted or diced tomatoes work in this recipe.
  • Green Chiles: Green chiles add so much flavor to this chili.
  • Bacon: Crumbled crispy bacon is the best part of this soup but set some aside for garnish!
  • Tomato Sauce: El Pato Mexican hot style is my favorite in this recipe because it adds a little spice!
  • Cream Cheese: Adds a tangy creaminess to the soup. Cube the cream cheese to make melting easier!
  • Dry Ranch Dressing: The key ingredient in crack chicken is dry ranch flavoring.
  • Chili Powder and Cumin: These seasonings add the perfect Mexican-inspired flavors to this chili.
  • Sharp Cheddar Cheese: Melty cheddar cheese in this chili is SO good. Use any cheese!
  • Salt and Pepper: Season to taste.

Crack Chicken Chili Recipe

In less than 10 minutes, you’ll have dinner prepped and ready to cook in the crockpot. Follow my full instructions below to walk you through all the steps. I also have much quicker methods for making this chili over the stovetop or in the instant pot.

  1. Add ingredients to the Crockpot: Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker, and add in everything except the cheddar cheese.
  2. Cook: Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours. Cook the chili until the chicken is fully cooked through.
  3. Shred the Chicken: When the chicken is fully cooked, remove it from the slow cooker to shred.
  4. Add Shredded Chicken and Cheese to the Crockpot: Place the shredded chicken back into the slow cooker along with the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir everything to fully incorporate. Season the chili with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve: Serve the chili with cilantro, limes, sour cream, or any of your favorite chili toppings!

Can I Cook it Over the Stove or in the Instant Pot?

Yes! This crack chicken chili is a fast and easy soup to make last minute when you use pre-cooked shredded chicken. It’s even faster to make this chili in the Instant Pot instead of the crock pot! You choose the method!

  • Stovetop Crack Chicken Chili: Use 3 cups of precooked shredded chicken for this method! Chop and cook the bacon until crispy. Once cooked, add the rest of the ingredients except for the cream cheese and cheddar cheese. Stir the ingredients together then cook and simmer for 15 minutes. Add room-temperature cream cheese to the chili and stir until melted. Using softened cream cheese is important to help it mix smoothly. Add the shredded cheese and heat until melted. Serve and enjoy!
  • Instant Pot Crack Chicken Chili: To cook this in the instant pot, sauté the bacon in the instant pot on the “sauté” mode. Then, add in the rest of the ingredients except for the cheddar cheese. You can also use raw chicken breasts because they will fully cook in the instant pot. Cook on “manual” mode for 25 minutes. Then, do a slow release. Stir in the cheddar cheese. Shred the chicken and enjoy!

  • In the Refrigerator: This crack chicken chili will be kept in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • To Reheat: Reheat gently in the microwave in 30-second intervals or on the stovetop over medium heat.
  • To Freeze: To freeze this chili, cool it completely then transfer it to a large freezer bag or two. Freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator. Heat on the stovetop on medium heat until warmed through.
